Changes in Trading Hours for Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025

As the festive season approaches, AvaTrade has released its trading hours for the Christmas and New Year holidays. Please note the adjustments across different markets, including Forex, Cryptos, Indices, Commodities, Bonds, and Stocks. These changes ensure smooth market operation while accommodating global market closures during the holidays.

Forex (FX)
Forex trading will remain mostly operational during the holidays with brief interruptions:
- Tuesday, 24th December (Christmas Eve): Early close at 21:58.
- Wednesday, 25th December (Christmas Day): Reopens at 22:05.
- Thursday, 26th December: Normal trading resumes.
- Tuesday, 31st December (New Year’s Eve): Early close at 21:58.
- Wednesday, 1st January (New Year’s Day): Reopens at 22:05.
- Thursday, 2nd January: Normal trading.
Cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrency markets will maintain normal trading hours throughout the holiday period. As decentralized markets, cryptos like Bitcoin and Ethereum remain unaffected by public holidays.

Changes vary depending on the region and index:
- US Indices
(US_500, US_TECH100, US_30, US_2000):- Tuesday, 24th December: Early close at 18:15.
- Wednesday, 25th December: Reopens at 23:01.
- Tuesday, 31st December: Normal trading.
